Three Open Doors

1.    Open Door of Insight (Rev 4:1)

John described a door open in heaven, leading to invisible realities of the future = tomorrow, and into the distant future. That takes care of this evening, the rest of this week, the new month and the new year.
a.    Awakening to the throne
The purpose of our worship is to come into His presence, since the throne of God is the place we approach in worship. John sees that everything that has to do with the issues of life in the future begin by seeing your invitation into the throne – through the door of insight.
b.    Awareness of the Lamb of God
When Jesus entered the room, worship turned to Him (Rev 5:9-10). We become aware of His creative power, the Lamb of God who has cleansed us, who promises not to leave us, nor forsake us.

2.    Open Door of Promise of Hope (Rev 3:10)
There are things that are going to happen that we have no way of predicting. And the Lord says, “I am going to keep you through that. I want you to focus not on the concern for the problems I will keep you from. Whatever you’re facing now, we are going all the way through this. I set before you an open door. Look for a purpose, not a problem.”

The grounds (by which Jesus sets an open door before us) Rev 3:8
a.    You have a little strength
b.    You have kept My word
c.    You have not denied My name

3.    An Open Invitation to Action (Rev 3:20)
a.    He wants to be intimate with you
b.    There’s the blessing of the feast with you

John sees an open door in heaven, and God calls him, “Come up here.”
There’s always a call to respond, a choice that releases that promise.

The Lord calls for a response, and calls us to responsibility, and take action. He knocks on the door saying, “I’ve opened the door on My side. Will you open the door on Your side?”

LIFE APPLICATION DISCUSSION

Discuss among homecare group members:
-    How can we perceive and “see” God’s open door to new possibilities and new blessedness?
-    How can we respond, in trust, believing, and entering?
